LEARNING THEME: BOOKS
We will be looking closely at a range of books to see how they are similar and different and talking with the children about the books they like, how we read them, what they look like and their features.
THE BIG QUESTION: WHAT ARE BOOKS ?
We will be talking to the children about books and finding out what they know about books already. They will see books of different shapes and sizes, look at the different pictures and think about different stories of information books. We will be looking at how we can make our own class books and encouraging the children to make their own using the resources in the classroom. What is your favourite book to share at home? Why?
LITERACY
The children will make their own books about things they like. We will support them to use the tools and resources in the classroom effectively and safely. The children will be invited to share their books and read them together once they are finished.
