Week Beginning 9 January 2017


  • Welcome back!  We hope you have had a relaxing and fun Festive Holiday and are feeling ready for the new Term  - The first day back is Tuesday 10th January.


We will be spending the first week back settling back in to our classes, catching up with friends and sharing our stories of all the things we’ve done during the holiday.


We will be talking about the holidays in large and small groups, talking about events in the recent past and recounting how we spent our holidays.

The children will be learning to listen politely and form some questions to keep conversations going.

C & L Extends vocabulary, especially by grouping and naming, exploring the meaning and sounds of new words.


The children will review and consolidate all the sounds covered in Term 1 and get ready to move on to new leaning as appropriate.


In Maths we will focus on counting on and back to 10 then 20 , ensuring the children are able to say the numbers in order to 10 and beyond and beginning to recognise  the numerals to 10 and bejond as well.

Children count reliably with numbers from 1 to 20, place them in order and say which number is one more or one less than a given number.

We starten 2017 in een prinsessenjurk en met een helm op!  Jules en Marie  verkleden zich deze week en wij doen graag mee!  Geen ridders en prinsessen zonder kasteel dus we schilderen deze week kantelen, hangen vlagjes op en bouwen een ophaalbrug.
