    Therese Faerestrand

    Pre-Nursery Teacher

    Therese Faerestrand

2001 I took a Real Estate-degree, but I did not find this job interesting at that time. My passion was working with children. Took my bachelor-degree as a Pre-School-Teacher in Norway (2005-2008). Moved to Denmark and started working as a teacher in a kindergarten. After 7 years in Denmark we moved to Shanghai (2015) because of my husband work.

It has always been my passion to work with children. To see the children from they are little and see how they are growing their learning and confident, that makes me sure that I have chosen the right job. The feeling that you have achieved something with doing your best.

What makes me a strong classroom practitioner: I am creative, spontaneous and good to see every children different need.

It was a fantastic opportunity that I could come to BISS and work. After 2 years enjoying Shanghai, I needed to do something more in my daily life. And being teacher here at BISS was the best thing that could happen.

    Sheree Brown

    Early Years Teacher

    Sheree Brown

Sheree Brown is from Australia and graduated with a Bachelor of Primary Education in Brisbane in 2005. She immediately fell in love with teaching abroad and moved to Beijing in 2006, as a Year 6 teacher. Since then Sheree has been back and forth teaching in China, Australia and Thailand from Year 6 to Reception and has some experience in SEN.
During her career, she has worked her way into Early Years and has found how vital “play” is to all children! Young students are naturally curious and in a supportive and secure environment, they are able to inquire about the world and create links through their play. It is her passion, as a teacher, to nurture children in a physically and emotionally safe environment, which enables them to independently make links to a future that is still unpredicted.

Susan qualified from the University of Paisley, Scotland as a primary teacher in June 2005. Since then she has taught mainly in the Early Years setting in Scotland. In August 2013, Susan moved to Spain where she taught for one year as an Early Years teacher. This gave her valuable experience of working with EAL children. In August 2014, Susan moved to Egypt where she taught a Reception class for one and a half years. She decided to move to Shanghai with her family because she wanted to teach in a Nord Anglia school and BISS Puxi looks like a wonderful community to be a part of.
