Thomas attended the University of Bristol and graduated with a Master's Degree in Mathematics. While attending this university, he also studied French. Thomas’ mathematical studies were broad at first but he later specialised in Pure Mathematics, which was the topic of his dissertation. After university, Thomas graduated from the TeachFirst graduate scheme whose mission is to take high quality graduates and mould them into exceptional leaders in the classroom. This scheme was affiliated with the University of Manchester from which he obtained his PGCE.
As well as Thomas’ academic qualifications, he is also a recognised coach of the English FA and has experience as working as a sports coach at a boarding school in the UK. Thomas’ job at BISS Puxi combines both of these areas, which are a big passion of his. He is also able to use the skills he has learned on the sports pitches in the classroom.
Outside of the classroom, Thomas is a keen sportsman. He is inspired by his father’s achievements in sport. Thomas’ main sport of interest is cricket but he also plays football and hockey during the winter. He does this for enjoyment but also to keep himself fit so he can go on playing sport at a high level into his 50s - just like his Dad. Thomas also maintains an interest in Mathematics and continues to read up on this topic in order to keep his brain active as well as his body.
