Anne van Bussel

Anne van Bussel

Primary Dutch Teacher

In 2012 Anne graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Fontys University of Applied Sciences in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. During the third year of her studies Anne discovered her passion for teaching in an international setting when completing an internship in Sydney, Australia. Right after graduating she started working as a class teacher at an international primary school in the Netherlands, which she enjoyed very much for six years. During this time she had the opportunity to work with students from different backgrounds and gained experience with bilingual education.

In 2018 Anne received her Master’s degree in Educational Theory at Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg, the Netherlands and decided to start a new chapter of her career in Shanghai. Anne aims to provide a caring and positive learning environment and supports students to achieve their potential. She values student ownership in the classroom and encourages students to become confident world citizens who are resilient and respecting of cultural differences.

In her free time Anne enjoys reading, spending time with her friends and family and going to concerts and music festivals. She loves exploring new places and meeting new people and has travelled around Europe, South-America and Australia. She has never been to China before and is very much looking forward to be joining the team at BISS Puxi.
