PE Teacher

David qualified in 2006 from Liverpool John Moore’s University with a BA (Hins) in Sports Development with Physical Education, followed by a PGCE in Physical Education in 2007 from the University of Greenwich.

David delivers active lessons with the objective of inspiring students towards lifelong participation in sport and values the importance of developing relationships with each and every student, fostering qualities such as appreciation and compassion whilst enhancing skills such as communication and self-management. He encourages students to apply acquired knowledge and plan effectively in order to perform complex skills and strategies. In his current role working with the International Baccalaureate framework he helps students to apply their knowledge in the real world effectively whilst promoting personal and social understanding.

David has a great interest in a wide range of sports, currently playing squash, tennis and golf and, in the past, semi-professional football. He has recently completed a number of cycling tours, including London to Brussels and Sydney to Cairns. When at home he likes to relax by playing board games and piano.
