PE Teacher

Jack graduated from the University of Portsmouth, UK in 2008, having completed a BSc Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science. Jack attended Middlesex University, UK to complete his PGCE. Jack’s first teaching post was at Enfield Grammar School, in 2010, where he worked for several successful and enjoyable years.

Jack is experienced in teaching KS3 Science and PE exam courses; he was also the lead practitioner of ‘A’ level PE. Further promotions followed where he undertook the role of Head of Year. Jack takes pleasure in seeing his pupils achieve both in and outside of the classroom and whole heartedly believes in the importance of a holistic education. He believes that physical education and sport give young people the self-esteem, leadership, discipline and interpersonal skills to be successful in life.

After working in state education for several years both Jack and his wife felt ready for a new challenge. They chose to work at BISS due to the diverse and dynamic learning and working environment.

Jack is a very active person and would like to think that he ‘practises what he teaches’. Jack enjoys a number of sports but most notably rugby. Jack was an active member of his local rugby club, being a regular first team player as well as performing the role of social secretary for four seasons. Jack is moving over to Shanghai with his wife Alexandra. They are both very excited about the new challenge of working at BISS and exploring a new city and culture together.
