Lucy Bacchus

Year 2 Class Teacher

Lucy graduated from Buckinghamshire Chilterns University, UK with a BA (Hons) Degree in Textiles & Surface design.  After travelling to Africa to volunteer in a school, she realised that she wanted to work with children and become a teacher. After gaining Qualified Teacher Status, Lucy taught in KS1 in an outstanding school in the UK, before moving to an international school in Qatar. She has worked for four years there in KS1 and KS2.

Lucy has a strong passion for providing children with an inspiring, challenging and safe learning environment that enables each individual to reach their full potential. Supporting them to be courageous and creative, whilst creating an integrated learning experience. Lucy has always wanted to live and work in China and after four years in the Middle East, decided now was the time to embark on a new challenge.

Lucy has a wide range of interests including photography, yoga, sports and outdoor pursuits. She enjoys spending her spare time keeping fit and regularly attends the gym. Lucy is also a keen traveller and loves to explore new cultures, especially sampling the food!
