Staff Profile: Tom Swainsbury

Tom Swainsbury

Year 3 Class Teacher

Tom completed a BA Hons Degree at UWE in 2001 in Cultural and Media Studies and English.  After working abroad with children in a variety of roles Tom returned to the UK and completed his PGCE at LSBU in 2010. He chose to work at an inner city school in London where he worked for three years in KS1.

In his second year of teaching Tom was appointed as Head of Maths, and introduced a new Maths curriculum to the school.  Tom made the move to work at an international school in order to work alongside a highly motivated and dynamic team.

Tom enjoys all sports and is a keen Arsenal fan.  He recently completed his PADI training and is now looking forward to getting his ‘Advanced’ diving certificate. He loves the challenge of trying something new, which has lead him to travel and work in a number of countries, and he is now looking forward to living and working in China.
