Shnell was born and raised in the tiny Caribbean island of St. Lucia. She came with her family to England in 1993 and after a number of years of Primary and Secondary education she graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Sociology and Linguistics from the University of Western England. For the past 10 years Shnell has developed her teaching skills in ‘different’ environments. Prior to spending a year as Assistant Head Teacher at a private school in Chennai, India, she worked in a French / English bilingual school in London for 8 years. During this time, as well as being responsible for teaching and learning in Years 2, 3 & 4, Shnell was an NQT mentor, ICT coordinator and part of the senior leadership team. She has a passion for technology and has taught Computing from Nursery to year 6. Schnell loves blogging with her class and has developed many class blogs over the years.

Shnell is an active participant in everything she does. She loves new technology. Coming from the Caribbean she loves cricket. She has a loving circle of family and friends and spreads her time between the Caribbean, the UK and the Netherlands. Over and above this, Shnell loves to travel. She loves to learn from new cultures and garner new experiences from people she meets.

Her fundamental love is for teaching and inspiring children to achieve their dreams.
