Having completed a BSc in Psychology, in Glasgow, Sarah Jane began working at a school for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties which inspired her to complete a PGCE in Primary Education at the University of Strathclyde. Sarah Jane taught in Glasgow for nine years before making the move to BISS Puxi. The experiences obtained during that time has shaped her educational philosophy and she firmly believes in child-centred learning and the limitless benefits of having a positive growth mindset.
Sarah Jane has always been invested in internationalism, having previously led Erasmus projects. Her interest in diverse cultures led her to make the move to Shanghai where she has now been teaching for the past five years.
As a keen netball player, Sarah Jane both plays and coaches netball for Shanghai Storm, the most prestigious (and only) netball club in Shanghai! Having a background in Psychology, she is currently completing an MSc in Mental Health in Children and Young People at The University of Edinburgh.
