A few weeks ago, Year 6 went on a 3 day residential trip to Al Daid with North Star. The children participated in many activities such as cycling, high rope walking, learning survival tactics as well as many water sport activities such as snorkeling, raft building and dingy games. They all enjoyed it and learnt many new skills!
The weather was certainly turbulent but the children showed how responsible they were by dealing with the situations and changes in a mature way. After the first evening sleeping in the tents, we had to move to indoor accommodation due a heavy rain storm. All of the children pulled together, quickly helping each other to move their belongings before it became dark.
The staff at North Star were excellent, motivating and encouraging the children on all the activities.
All of the staff, both teachers from BISAD and the North Star instructors, were impressed with how well behaved and polite the children were. They represented our school superbly! Everyone had an enjoyable time and came away with many fond memories of the trip.
We look forward to the next one!
