Drama Showcase

03 October 2016

  • scary play

The BIS Abu Dhabi Secondary Drama Ensemble have been working hard over the past few months to prepare two plays for our Drama Showcase held on:

Sunday 23rd October & Monday 24th October
At 6pm in the Main Hall

In ‘Scary Play’, Kal and his mates decide to investigate the abandoned house at the end of the street and end up wishing they hadn’t… What happens next involves a strange woman, a monkey with an obsession for dentist’s equipment and your worst nightmares!

‘Fossils’ considers an age-old problem. Why is it that parents seem to be from prehistoric times when it comes to understanding their teenage kids?! Julie, Michelle and Franky deal with pimples, peer pressure and pesky parents as they prepare for the school prom.

Year 9 and Year 10 Ensemble members have been rehearsing during lunchtimes and weekends, and will be supported by the Year 7 – 12 Drama CCA students onstage and backstage.

Tickets will be on sale from Reception between 7.30-8.30am and 2.30-3.00pm on 16th – 20th October. The cost will be adults 20AED and children 10AED.

Please come to support the students, it promises to be an evening full of fun and frights!

Please note that due to the scary nature of some of the creatures in ‘Scary Play’ the performance may be unsuitable for young children.
