Student Profile: Mae, Year 6

20 October 2019

Our student profile this week is Mae from Year 6. Below she gives us an introduction to herself.

If your child would like to be featured, please email us on: newsletters@bisad.ae

Hi, my name is Mae, I am 10 years old and I am in Year 6.  My teacher this year is Miss Squire and Year 6 is amazing!

I joined BIS Abu Dhabi, along with my two younger brothers, in 2018 and I have enjoyed every moment of it.  I come from Herefordshire in the U.K. which is famous for its beef and fruit farms.  It’s a lot greener there, than it is in Abu Dhabi, but I really like living here, because I get to swim everyday.

I love swimming and I am currently on the Falcon Swim Team. I also train with Neptunes Swim Academy and I enjoy competing in triathlons and cycling races, so sports takes up a lot of my spare time.  When I do have some free time, I like reading a lot. My favourite author is Lemony Snicket, but I enjoy any mystery book.  I like to draw and I get lots of inspiration from watching my favourite artists on YouTube.

I hope that one day I can compete competitively for my country in swimming and then write a book about it!

Mae
