Kindness is everywhere… but let's have more of it!
We had a very busy and enjoyable coffee morning today in The Hub. Parents were kept busy by helping to make decorations for Kindness Day and writing messages of kindness to add to the paper chains. We also had the opportunity to chat with our famous Secondary School Librarian, and with Claire from the EAL Department. A special thank you to our parents who baked some delicious treats for everyone to enjoy, too.
Triathlon
The PTA Snack Shop was ready to provide much-needed refreshment to the students taking part in the Triathlon last week. Well done to so many students that took part, and thanks to the volunteers for running the snack shop on the day. We have included a photo of two amazing Triathlon junior athletes who gave it a go and proudly wore their shirts, which, along with the fruit in the goodie bags, were partially sponsored by the PTA.
Who is Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)?
Last week, the PTA accepted a generous reminder from Mai (an Arabic teacher), as she walked around the school and ensured people knew and understood the very special occasion of the birth of Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).
Mai shares with us:
He is the greatest man to ever walk the face of the earth, who gave respect and rights to all. A beautiful personality, who raised high the status and rights of women, children and even animals. A man who showed Mercy to all, a mercy which knew no bounds.
A most humble person who forgave those who wronged Him, and taught people how to live a life of simplicity and love.
He took people out of ignorance, gentle in composure, merciful in character, beautiful in manners, elegant in speech, and most compassionate and forgiving.
He was affectionate towards children and the weak, tolerant to those who oppressed him,
Generous and beneficent to the poor and needy.
He was The Prophet Muhammed (PBUH)
The Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) said:
‘Show Mercy to those who are on earth and the Lord of the heavens will have Mercy upon you.'
Social Events
The 'Taste of Abu Dhabi' at the DU Arena was great fun; an opportunity for parents and children to let their hair down and enjoy the music, food, and great company together.

If you are a class representative, we would love to see you at this meeting as a chance to get involved and help to promote upcoming events we are working on.
During this meeting we will also start to plan International Day, so if you are wanting your country to take part, please do come along.
