It was great to have the full Extra-Curricular Activity and Sports programme up and running again. With the easing of various restrictions, parents will be allowed to come to school for sports fixtures to watch their children play against other schools.

"If we all work together to ensure that we follow the set protocols, it will be great to have parents back watching their children playing sports."

Parents are welcome to watch Sports fixtures on Campus

It was great to have the full Extra-Curricular Activity programme up and running again last week. Both the Primary and High School were really lively after school with students undertaking a huge range of activities. The Sports Programme is very active, and it is great that there are now training sessions as well as competitive fixtures for all to enjoy.

For sports fixtures after school and at weekends, parents will be allowed to come to school to watch their children play against other schools. Please make sure to have ATK tested before you come to school and bring the photo or the test with you. Parents will be expected to socially distance themselves and wear their masks for the whole time they are in school. If we all work together ensuring that we follow the set protocols, it will be great to have parents back watching their children playing sports.

PTG Committee Meeting

A huge thank you to all those parents who attended our first whole school Parent Teacher Group (PTG) meeting in the Drama Studio at the Primary School. There were some very useful discussions as we went through a range of items on the agenda that will really bring our school community back together with parents enjoying all the celebrations with their children.

From this meeting, parents were asked to become part of either the Primary School Focus Group or the High School Focus Group where there will be another meeting to look at the issues facing our community and how we can have a great finish to this academic year and begin next year in August in full throttle.

Education Development Trust Accreditation visit

On Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th May, we shall be hosting two education consultants - Sally Lane and David Bowles - who will be visiting the school. There is a very tight schedule planned with them where they will meet many key leaders across the school, students and parents from the PTG.

The consultants will also be visiting classrooms and generally really getting a feel for our school's management as we come out of the pandemic. It will be good to have them in school and give feedback to us on their observations from their meetings and discussions.

Our school is currently fully internationally Accredited by the Education Development Trust, which provides us with the prestigious British Schools Overseas Award, confirming that our operation meets all their high standards, being equal to the best independent schools both in Britain and internationally.

STA LINE Channel for Communication

With LINE being one of the most popular platforms for our parents to communicate with each other, we have reinstated our STA LINE account, and we will be using this to share important school-wide updates and reminders.

To sign up for the school Line account, please either search for @standrewsbangkok in Line, or scan the QR code below for direct access.

Student Vaccination 5-18 year olds: Bangsue Grand Station

We have received several inquiries regarding 1st dose and booster vaccination opportunities for 5-18 year olds. We have been in contact with relevant private hospitals and government liaisons regarding vaccination opportunities for our community.

Currently, the government hasn't allocated any more first dose vaccinations or boosters for 5-18 year olds through the private hospitals. Instead, they have stocked these vaccinations with the Bangsue Grand Station Vaccination Center. Walk-in services are available and we have received feedback from a number of families who were very happy with the quick and easy process.

We kindly ask our community to update any changes to your child’s Vaccination Status on Moodle. We ask parents to assess all vaccine opportunities for their children and whether they wish to become involved. We are merely making parents aware of opportunities and putting them in contact with relevant hospitals.

If you have any questions or concerns with regard to this vaccination opportunity, please contact us at support@standrews.ac.th

For parents with enquiries, please contact support@standrews.ac.th. You can also call the Primary School directly at +66 2 381-2387-8 or the High School at +66 2 056-9555.
