Happy New Year!

12 January 2017

It was so lovely to see, on Monday morning, all the Early Years children coming into school looking refreshed, happy and ready to continue on their learning journey. This term there are lots of exciting events and learning taking place.

Reception and Nursery classes will be inviting parents to come into school and  join in the fun with Stay and Play. During book week the children will be taking part in a variety of Literacy activities and the parents of Pre-Nursery children are warmly invited to a tea and coffee afternoon on 20th January 2017.

This week has also seen the start of our new whole school topic '' Curious Cities'' Our Early Years children have enjoyed looking at their local environment, taking a variety of photographs and discussing what they think is a good environment or a bad one! It has been very interesting listening to their thoughts on this topic, especially regarding the pollution! This topic will continue until the end of this half term and I'm sure the class teachers will continue to update you, in their daily emails, as well as your children, telling you all about the inquiry based learning that has been taking place.
