Alligators were asked the question “Do children get faster as they get older?”. They used their skills as scientists to design an investigation to see whether this was true comparing themselves and Year 5 Pelicans.

Each group chose an activity such as: running the length of the playground; number of sit-ups in a minute; number of jumps per minute and number of push-ups per minute. Alligators first measured themselves completing the activity and then borrowed some willing Pelicans to repeat their test giving them some comparative data. Pelicans very kindly then helped Alligators to draw a comparative bar graph to show their results. What do you think they found out?
