Science investigation in Year 2

This week in Science Year 2 have been carrying out an exciting investigation. The children were answering the question: What material will make the best string on a bow and shoot an arrow the furthest?

We made sure that our testing was fair by keeping all variables the same, apart from the material of our bow string. We found out that elastic was the best material as it is flexible and stretchy. When we used elastic, our arrows flew the furthest. We worked collaboratively to record our results. When we returned to class we completed our investigation sheet and wrote a conclusion.
