Teddy Bears’ Picnic

As part of our topic on ‘Bears’ the Nursery classes went on a trip to Chaoyang Park for a Teddy Bears’ Picnic.  We had a wonderful time travelling on the bus. The children were incredibly mature, understanding the importance of putting on their seat belts and sitting sensibly throughout the journey.

Once we arrived at the park we took our bears for a walk, singing lots of songs as we went, and talking about the flowers and trees we could see around us.

The parents provided a picnic snack (which was delicious and very large!)  We enjoyed listening to several bear themed stories and singing some bear songs before we ate.  After we had eaten our snack we played some games with the parachute and especially loved bouncing our teddy bears up and down on the parachute!  Finally, we played ‘Who stole the honey from the honey pot?’ before walking back to the bus and returning exhausted, but very happy, to school.
