International Week in Reception

This week it is International Week! The children have been very lucky and got to move around the classes to do a range of activities from different countries.

While in Sharks, the children learnt to Line Dance like a Cowboy from America. In Turtles, the children got to paint some beautiful Chinese blossom pictures. While in Dolphins, they learnt about France. They learnt some French words and made Crepes, yummy! The children also got to make some Japanese Origami in Whales and some Indian Rangoli patterns in Sealions.

The parents were also invited to come in to share cultural stories and activities. One parent taught the children in Sealions about Diwali. They tasted some traditional sweet and savoury snacks and created their own Diva Lamps. Other parents came in to read stories in German and French.

We’ve had a great week!
