They were learning the names of the planets in our Solar system and how to recognise them. It was great to see the children’s curiosity ignite as they found out interesting facts about the different planets, such as; Did you know that one million Earths can fit into the Sun? Did you know that Neptune is the coldest planet?
The children also explored non-fiction books and sorted planets into the correct order from the Sun.
This week the children begun to learn about the International Space Station (ISS) and the training that astronauts have to go through to be able to travel out into Space. We watched a spacecraft take off and the children saw a short video about life without gravity on the Space station.
