At this time of year football season starts off for professional footballers in major leagues such as La Liga, Premier League, Ligue 1 and the Bundesliga. Football is also starting off in PE lessons for KS2 children. Year 3 and Year 4 children have been practising their dribbling skills in their onsite PE lessons at BSB. Year 5 and Year 6 children have also started their football unit of PE lessons at Side Park near Lido.

Football is the major focus for this Autumn Term in PE lessons, as we have a number of football competitions ahead of us. In October BSB Shunyi will be hosting football invitationals for boys and girls in Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6. In early November the school will enter the inaugural Nord Anglia Global Games Football competition in Nanjing. For this we will be bringing an Under 11 Girls and Under 11 Boys squad with us. This is a new exciting competition for the school and plenty of training will be done in advance to ensure that we are as well prepared as possible.
