Our Early Years provision enables your child to develop their personalities, talents and abilities, enabling them to develop a strong sense of self, feel positive about their abilities as a learner, form constructive relationships and become confident communicators.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework which is statutory in the UK for all Ofsted registered child care settings. This curriculum is full of real-life concrete experiences and is split into 7 areas: Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Communication and Language; Physical Development; Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
Many topics and themes are introduced into the classroom and often the children are informally consulted about the activities they would like the adults to plan.
During their play the children are supported and encouraged to; find out and explore, play with what they know, be willing to ‘have a go’, be involved, to concentrate, keep trying, enjoy achieving what they set out to do, have their own ideas, make links and choose different ways to do things.
Here at the British School of Beijing, Sanlitun we want your child to have fun, to be happy, safe and secure at all times. We want to inspire them to become purposeful and life-long learners.
