Alison Strauss - PA Coordinator
Hello BSB Sanlitun, My Name is Alison Strauss and I am happy to be serving for the first time as the PA Coordinator. My family and I came to Beijing in March 2017, to join The American Embassy Mission China. We are so excited to have this opportunity to explore this new culture, travel and have our kids educated in such an outstanding school system. Having my kids in this diverse atmosphere with all of your children is such a blessing.
Living in a busy city is also new to us, as we have always lived in rural or suburban areas. We love experiencing these changes and are making the most of our time here in Beijing. I am a Veterinarian and have spent the past 15 years working in Small Animal practice in the suburbs outside Washington DC. I am re-inventing my role here as Mom, Girl Scout Leader and PA Committee member. I am also dedicating time to learning Mandarin. I look forward to serving in the PA of BSB Sanlitun to continue the excellent work done by this organization of Volunteers.

Judy Sarton - Assistant PA Coordinator
Hi, I'm Judy Sarton. My husband and I have been expats for over 10 years. We have lived in many different places but our home is in Australia and sometimes Seoul. We have 2 daughters, Imogen in Year 5 and Doutzen in Year 1 here at BSB Sanlitun. We have been in Beijing for almost two years now but this is our second time round here. I look forward to getting myself involved in lots of BSB Sanlitun school activities.

Rashmi Verma - PA Secretary
My name is Rashmi Verma and have been living in Beijing for the last 7 years. Prior to that I lived in Thailand and India. I have done Masters in Business Communication and had a short stint as a teacher. I have been associated with BSB Sanlitun for the last 4 years. I am very much looking forward to contributing further in my new responsibility as PA Secretary. On a personal front, I am married to Taroon Bharti (working in Microsoft Beijing) and have two kids - Ekaansh (8 yrs) and Trisha (3 yrs) who keep me on my toes all the time.

Alice Noble - PA Welcome Team Liaison
In August 2012 my husband and I left the U.K. and we have been on an international adventure ever since! We arrived in Beijing in January 2017 for my husband to work at UNICEF. I am a Londoner through and through and worked in art and language education. My hobbies are skiing, gardening and visiting art galleries, and when I am not looking after Keziah and Daniel I am studying Chinese!

Alexandra Bichteler - PA Lunch Parent Coordinator
Hi, I am Alexandra Bichteler. Since March 2016 we have been living in Beijing, Central Park. For myself it's the second time I am living in Beijing. We have three children in Years 1, 4 & 6. We chose another school at first but happily switched to BSB Sanlitun after getting to know the shcool. The children love the school and I really enjoy the great community of parents here.

Tobias Gustafsson - PA Treasurer
My name is Tobias Gustafsson and I am the PA Treasurer. Together with my wife and 7 year old daughter, we arrived in Beijing and to BSB Sanlitun in August 2016 after having spent the last 11 years abroad on different postings. Originally we are from Sweden but our daughter is very international and this will be her fourth country in 7 years. School is therefore a very important place for her to be able to settle in and enjoy her life. She was very well received at BSB Sanlitun and has met great friends already. We also like the school due to its size and the community feeling that it brings. Everyone is very welcoming and easy to approach not only teachers and staff but other parents too. I chose to engage in PA as it gives me the opportunity to get more involved with school and also get to know what’s going on. I encourage everyone, especially men, to take the opportunity to join the PA or come along to the next PA meeting to find out more

Elva Wu - PA Parent Liaison
Hi, my name is Elva. I've been living in Beijing for 13 years, my husband works here as well. We have two sons, Will is in Y1 and George will start at BSB Sanlitun very soon. As parents, we are very impressed with the Nord Anglia ethos, with its focus on being ambitious and encouraging enthusiasm in learning.
As a part-time photographer, it was an honour for me to be involved in making the BSB Sanlitun Charity Cookbook "A little Taste of Home”, all proceeds of which have gone to Charity. I was involved in this venture from its initial concept and the dream of a group of BSB parents, right through to its launch in June last year. I enjoyed this work and seeing successful product published at the end of last academic year.
This year by being a part of the school and also a member of the BSB Sanlitun Parents’ Association, I can continue to contribute to and play a part in, the life of our great school, of which I am very grateful.

Meiling Nilsson - PA Parent Liaison
Hi, I am Meiling Nilsson. I am originally from China. I live with my Swedish husband and my son Hugo, who is 4 years old. We have lived in Chaoyang, Beijing since August 2016. I have lived in Tokyo for 5 years, from 2003 to 2007. I have also lived in Sweden for 7 years, from 2007 to 2014.
Then we moved back to China, Chengdu in 2014 where we stayed for 2 years. I speak Chinese, Japanese, English and Swedish. I want to contribute to the school community and support the organization of family events in BSB Sanlitun by working for the PA as Welfare and Suggestion Box coordinator.
