I joined The British School of Beijing, Sanlitun as a Mandarin Chinese teacher in 2008, because I love working with children. I teach both native Chinese speakers and non-native Chinese speakers.
I went to Beijing Foreign Studies University, where I did a degree in English language. I hold a Qualification Certificate of Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (Advanced). Before joining BSB Sanlitun I taught all levels of students from different countries and cultural backgrounds for more than 9 years, which helped me to get a better understanding of cross cultural communication. I believe every child is unique and I am passionate about motivating every child in learning Chinese language and culture. I try my best to help children to experience Chinese culture as much as they can, as culture is an integral part of language.
During my spare time, I like cooking. I am interested in reading and travelling. I also like practising Chinese calligraphy. But now, I spend most of my spare time with my son.
