I have been teaching for a number of years in the UK following graduating from University of Cumbria with a BA (Hon) Degree in Primary Education (QTS) with Art and Design. I have some experience teaching in a German kindergarten and a glimpse into teaching in America when involved with the camp America programme.
I have been in Year 2 at Gallions Primary School in East London for my first years of teaching then followed by being a class teacher and Year Group Leader in Reception. I was also the art co-ordinator for two years, running arts festivals every summer and teaching cooking classes after school to children across all the three Key Stages.
BSB Sanlitun is an exciting step for my career and to experience a new culture and way of life. love to travel and take myself into the unknown to help broaden my knowledge of the amazing world we live in. I was drawn to the vibrant city of Beijing and the ethos BSB Sanlitun embodies.
Both in and out of school I am a creative person, playing the piano and cornet as well as being interested in drawing and painting. I have been a keen badminton player since I was 9 and was given the opportunity to play for my county and country at before I went to university. I have continued to play at a competitive level and to coach junior squads. My favourite thing to do is to take my puppy Mowgli out for adventures in the forests, parks and beaches all around the UK.
