Pre-Nursery Seashells Class Teacher

I have been teaching in New Zealand Early Childhood sector for the past 10 years where I have undertaken various roles. I started as a teacher, leading a cultural committee, then took on a role as a Head Teacher for one of the largest centres in New Zealand.

Over the past 3 years I have worked as a Centre Manager at various centres across New Zealand. During this time, I have completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching - Early Childhood Education and undergone a tremendous amount of Professional Development and Future Leaders Courses (Leadership in Early Childhood).

Working abroad has always intrigued me as I love learning and broadening my teaching experiences and I feel that BSB Sanlitun is an exciting next step in my career. I love the school motto ‘Be Ambitious’, and I strive for the best possible outcomes for children. The philosophy resonates with me and I am looking forward to being a part of this passionate learning community.

I am an outgoing positive person that loves exploring and building knowledge through experiences. I also believe that children learn through investigating. My vision for the children is to become resilient and life-long learners who will have the necessary tools to tackle the unknown future. I was born and raised in Slovenia but have spent the last 13 years studying and working in New Zealand. I have a passion for travelling, getting to know new cultures, hiking and keeping fit by going to the gym.
