University Degree: BA (Hons) Primary Education with QTS (KS2 and Design and Technology specialists)
I have now been teaching at BSB Sanlitun for three years, within year 2, and I have enjoyed working alongside other enthusiastic educators. I have been working as the Learning Support Coordinator for 1 year now, at BSB Sanlitun, and look forward to continuing to support children within our school.
Prior to this, I spent three years as a class teacher within a large inner-city London Primary School. I have worked with children who have a range of abilities and who originate from different backgrounds. Within my previous school, I undertook the role of Art and Design Technology leader. This role involved establishing an Art and DT curriculum for a school, participating in National competitions, planning extra-curricular trips and working towards the Primary Education ‘Artsmark’ award.
I began my teaching journey at Roehampton University, where I completed a three year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Primary Education. From a young age, I knew that I wanted to become a teacher and I was inspired by the teachers who taught me and made my learning exciting. At University, I was immediately overwhelmed by how rewarding it felt to see the progress of the children I was teaching.
When I am not teaching I love exploring Beijing, as well as other places in Asia on holiday. At home I enjoy painting, crafts and sewing - I have even made a few of my own clothes.
