Isn’t it strange when you just feel like you’re meant to be somewhere? Well, that’s exactly how I feel at BSB Sanlitun, a sense of belonging. The sense of community within the school is amazing and I’ve loved my first year exploring and experiencing all Beijing has to offer. The school is fantastic at helping their teachers develop and working with such hard-working, enthusiastic children just makes the job so much more enjoyable.
After completing a degree in Psychology at the University of Hull, I went on to complete my PGCE in Primary Teaching and Physical Education at Manchester Metropolitan University. I taught in the United Arab Emirates for 2 years before arriving in Beijing which was another wonderful experience. I am a passionate traveller and being able to incorporate this into my professional life has been a blessing.
My interests mainly lie with drawing, in particular simple line drawing and designing and I love being able to dive into some art activities with my class. I love to read and try to read books which will educate me further in both work and life. I will also take any opportunity to challenge myself and take myself out of my comfort zone.
