After studying philosophy at Reading University, I moved into education and have since taught in schools in both London and Essex, which has exposed me to a broad variety of children from many different backgrounds.
I grew up in Essex with my 7 siblings, 6 of whom are younger than me. Although I miss them, I am grateful to be able to travel the world and experience new places whilst doing a job that I love.
I have a passion for making philosophy accessible to children and I like to use it as a tool to teach children to think critically and originally. My other passion is for rugby. I play for a local rugby team here in Beijing and I was lucky enough to be selected for a united Beijing team that played against Mongolia. I actively encourage my students to take part in sports; in previous schools I have organised and led sporting teams in local competitions.
