My passion and love for choral music and conducting has started at a very early age and since then I have been a member of several professional choirs as a soloist. I spent a lot of time on stage performing and touring around the world, mostly as a singer but also as a musician. Throughout this time I have worked closely with world-famous conductors and singers, including a couple of performances with Zubin Mehta (at the Belgrade Summer Music Festival in 2005 and 2010).
I joined BSB Sanlitun in 2013 initially as a violin teacher. I then became a Choral and Music teacher and most importantly a Choir Conductor. During this period, choral singing at school has reached new heights and the choir has been in demand to perform around Beijing and China.
I am especially excited about the Juilliard-Nord Anglia collaboration and the new embedded Performing Arts curriculum, here at BSB Sanlitun.
In 2019, NAE schools had their first ever regional Choral Festival, here in Beijing, and I had an opportunity to work together with Dinah Lindberg Helgeson and other musicians from China region, leading rehearsals and conducting to the Treble Choir singers.
