Year 5 Group Leader, Year 5 Kookaburras Class Teacher
I have worked as a primary school teacher since qualifying with a Bachelor of Education from Mary Immaculate University in Limerick, Ireland. The majority of my experience lies as a KS2 class teacher. I also spent two years working as a specialised learning support teacher. Prior to taking up the Year Group Leader position, I have led the PE department here since August 2018, as 'Head of PE' of the British School of Beijing, Sanlitun.

Year 5 Flamingos Class Teacher
My interest in teaching stemmed from my time being an Assistant Language Teacher in Japanese schools on behalf of the JET Programme and also from my experience being a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at The British School of Tokyo for a number of years. These experiences led me to return to the UK to do my PGCE at Canterbury Christ Church University.
Year 5 Pelicans Class Teacher
After graduating from the University of Exeter, I studied for a Masters in Sustainable Development before setting my heart on teaching. I decided to pursue a career in primary education due to the quantity and quality of time I get to spend with the children. Before moving to Bejing, I taught in primary schools in inner city London, where I worked with children from a variety of backgrounds. I have gained a wide range of skills and responsibilities as my teaching career has progressed and have taught across a variety of Key Stage 2 year groups.
Assistant Head of Primary, Year 6 Eagles Class Teacher
Upon graduating at Roehampton University with a BA Hons in Primary Education, I worked in the United Kingdom before moving abroad to engage in new teaching experiences in Australia, Qatar and now China. I have worked across the Primary age range and held various leadership positions including Maths Lead, English Lead and Academic Lead. To develop myself further, I undertook and completed the Nord Anglia Middle Leadership Programme and completed a Master’s in International Education, with King’s College London. I think that everyone can always learn more - even adults! I am now thrilled to be the Assistant Head of Primary at BSB Sanlitun, where I get to help shape the curriculum we offer for our students and support teachers in delivering an outstanding education offer.
Year 6 Falcons Class Teacher
I was born in Glasgow and have taught EFL as a CELTA qualified Teacher in China, Korea, Spain and Scotland. I studied for a PGDE in Primary Education at Strathclyde University, Glasgow. Prior to joining BSB Sanlitun, I taught for three years in an amazing school near Edinburgh. I am a strong believer that learning should be fun and engaging. I have continued my professional development into different active learning strategies.
