Glyn Johnson

IT Manager & Director of Computing and E-Learning

After completing a BSc in Multimedia I went on to work in the radio industry as a web editor. After that I went into education. Last year I traveled to Singapore to look at the education system and report back to the British Schools Council about my findings. I have been a keen programmer in recent years and have enjoyed teaching pupils who have gone on to master their skills.

One of my proudest acheivements has been to work as Head of Year, and for the Edexcel Exam Board as an examiner. I have also been an active member of the Computing at Schools Organisation shaping the national curriculum in Computing.

Outside of school, I play lacrosse and have been lucky enough to represent Wales at both European and World Cups.

The community feel of a school offering individualized learning for each pupil along with the international make-up of students offering a world view and wide range of cultures are what I feel make BISB so special.
