Year 6 student Sasha R. is a member of our News Club, is a big sister to younger brother Max, and loves being a part of Miss Scott's Fearless Falcons class. She also happened to be a part of BISC Lincoln Park's our award-winning video, "Welcome to Lincoln Park!"

But did you know she's been acting for several years now?

Last year, as a Year 5 student, Sasha met the cast and crew of Chicago Med when she appeared in the pilot episode as a girl injured in a train accident.

"Although both I and the rest of the class were thrilled to see Sasha on national television taking on such a significant role, she came in the next day as if nothing had happened," said her former teacher, Matt Gregory. "That, perhaps, is one of Sasha's finest qualities; despite being on a critically acclaimed new TV show, she is still the cheerful down-to-earth classmate that we've come to know. Hopefully, her ambition and positive attitude will lead to her landing more roles soon."

Since then, she's gone on to appear in a couple of other commercials.

"We're proud of Sasha's work," said mom Alla. "This past fall, she shot a national commercial for Nintendo, which showed during previews at AMC theaters across the country."

If you happened to miss her debut on the big screen, you could have easily caught her in s recent Chrysler commerical that ran during the election and featured kids from around the country.

So, what's Sasha up to now?

"She just appeared in an episode of APB, a procedural drama set in Chicago on FOX," said Alla. "The cast and crew felt like family and were super nice."

Next up, we look forward to seeing Sasha in an upcoming movie, Braven, starring Justice League actor and Aquaman himself, Jason Mamoa.

As a student who benefits from our the Juilliard-Nord Anglia Performing Arts program, we're excited to see how Sasha's using her confidence and creativity to go far with her passion for acting. Go, Sasha!
