Beyond the Classroom!

This week we are celebrating four all-star student athletes, Gage, Viren, Tanush, and Adam!

Gage K and Viren D.

Gage K.'s  and Viren D.'s Chicago Fire Junior U12 Select soccer team had a great season! They ended the Fall season with a record of 7-1 , winning their division championship! Their team worked hard all season and displayed great sportsmanship and dedication. They are really proud of their achievement. Great job Gage and Viren on this impressive accomplishment!

Tanush D.

Tanush D. in Year 5 plays hockey and is a goalie for his Squirt 1 team, The Glenview Starts. During the month of October, he participated in the Fight for Cancer- October Saves. October Saves aims to instill philanthropy and leadership in hockey goalies along with great net minding skills. Together, they strive to raise funds to fight cancer. In October, Tanush played 7 games and saved 112 goals. Family and friends pledged to donate based on the number of saves he made. This resulted in him raising $931, with his national ranking being 111 as a fundraiser.

We are so proud of Tanush, he knew that he was playing not only for his team’s success, but also to raise awareness and funds for this cause which motivated him to play harder at each game.

The Doshi Family would like thank their friends and family who supported this great mission to fight cancer.

We are also very proud of Tanush! You are not only a great athlete, but a great person as well! Congrats!

Adam E.

Adam E. in Year 3 participated in the Chicago Martial Arts Association Open Championship today, and he won first place for both sparring and board breaking in the 7-9 year old age group. Adam has been studying Tae Kwon Do since the age of 4 at White Tiger Martial Arts and he is currently a red belt.  He was determined and focused and very strong today and we are so proud of him! Well done Adam on this wonderful achievement!
