Although winter seems to drag on, and we are counting the days until sunny warm weather returns to Chicago, the BISC-LP community has been spotted rocking some new shades recently. Have you received yours? Curious what the #NAEBrightFuture is all about?

Each February we kick off our annual reenrollment process and are acknowledging those who have reenrolled with a new pair of “#NAEBrightFuture” sunglasses sent home along with a note from Mr. Pearce. If you have received your Bright Future package, you will have learned by now that Mr. Pearce wanted to be a park ranger when he was in primary school – what did you want to be? Several of you have shared what your children want to be when they grow up and sent in fabulous photos of your children in their new sunglasses. We are looking forward to seeing more and more pics come in with your children wearing their shades and looking towards their bright future both at BISC-LP and in the years to come.

Our school has a commitment to your children to prepare them for an ever-changing world and know that there are many exciting experiences and new skills for them to acquire along the way. We appreciate your continued support and commitment to our school’s vision and your children’s education – the partnership between home and school is really at the heart of making it all possible.

While Corey Hart plays in my head, potentially dating myself, (“I wear my sunglasses at night”) the students at BISC-LP are wearing their sunglasses (“so I can so I can”) as they look towards their future with a limitless set of possibilities ahead of them. It is hardly what they can do, but what won’t they do!
