Reception Teacher

I am from Salisbury, a beautiful city in southwest England. I attended the University of Plymouth, Rolle College in Devon where I undertook my teaching degree. During my four-year class, I had the opportunity to take a teaching placement in Fredonia, New York. This certainly sparked my love of the United States. After I graduated with my qualified teacher status, I moved the East London to teach in the borough of Newham. I loved getting to work with such a diverse community of people, learning about different cultures, languages, and traditions.

I have lived in Chicago for seven years now, and I am so happy to call this wonderful city home. I love exploring the neighborhoods and trying the different cultures of food around the city. I have also been incredibly lucky to travel around many parts of the country. I love visiting everything from the mountains in Colorado to the beaches in California.

Creativity and challenge help our students get better every day. Creativity is always at the forefront of learning in the Early Years. Every day leads to children creating their own creative experiences that help to develop a love for learning as well as build an important foundation of skills. It is through this love for learning that children can then be challenged to develop and grow their understanding.
