I am originally from Bournemouth, a beautiful town on the south coast of England, where I grew up with my two siblings. I attended Winchester University to gain a bachelor’s degree in Primary Education, with a specialism of Early Years. I qualified in 2010 and taught in a large, diverse primary school in the local area, which gave me many valuable experiences that have shaped me as a teacher.
I will be starting my third year at BISC-LP in Year 1; I am looking forward to making new memories and having new experiences with the children and staff. I love living in Chicago, from seeing the city highlights to the vast choices of food and entertainment on offer. Outside of teaching, I enjoy watching and playing sports, keeping fit and travelling to different cities or countries!
I believe that creativity and challenge help students get better every day. Throughout my career, I have tried to make my lessons fun, engaging and thought provoking. I find this to be the best way to ensure children progress. Through support and challenge children can learn and improve rapidly in a safe environment.
