During Autumn Term, teachers and students worked together to create a broad and unique scope of work in collaboration with the Art Institute of Chicago. A work of art (The Herring Net by Winslow Homer) was selected from the museum’s collection and each class discussed the chosen piece and used it as inspiration for creating their own works of art.
We will be holding several events to showcase the students' work and hope that you will join us. The first two events in May will be open to BSC parents; a third showing in May will be open to all. The official art showcase will take place on June 11 at the Floating Worlds Gallery in Chicago. Students' work will be presented throughout the gallery in a professional artistic environment to highlight the incredible work accomplished. All families and visitors are welcome.
Please see the official invitation for further details.
