We are delighted to announce that Nord Anglia Education is now in collaboration with The Juilliard School, the world-renowned performing arts conservatory. Furthermore, the British School of Chicago has been selected to be one of the leading schools in the program. Starting in September 2015, our students will benefit from a unique performing arts curriculum jointly developed by Nord Anglia Education and Juilliard. This is designed to inspire our students with artistic ambitions and also to enrich the creative skills of all students beyond the arts. It will give each student a “Creative Key” to unlock their imagination and creativity, which is useful in all types of learning and in all walks of life.
This collaboration will provide our Nord Anglia Education schools with a custom, differentiated performing arts curriculum designed specifically for our schools by Juilliard. It will also include the opportunity for individual and group instrumental lessons taught by Juilliard alumni and Juilliard-certified instructors, plus staff collaboration to provide training and professional development for NAE teachers. Additionally, the program will extend to Juilliard designed summer school programs in dance, drama and music.
To launch this exciting innovation we will be inviting current and prospective parents to an introductory event at the school. This will include an explanation of the program and a short performance from a Juilliard alum. We will be sending formal invitations as soon as we have finalized the dates.
We're thrilled to be able to offer this unique learning experience to our school community, and we look forward to providing our students with an amazing arts education for years to come.
