Year 3

The Brilliant Bears today have been recreating Tutankhamun's mask while learning about the fate of Ancient Egyptian tombs at the hands of tomb robbers.

Year 4

As part of our Year 4 Topic this term, we are learning all about fashion! This week we have been learning about the history of jewelry. We looked at the materials used to create jewelry and how the designs on the jewelry were influenced by the different events taking place during that era. We also learned how to create detailed sketches of jewelry from the past and shade them according to the position of the light. We realized that when sketching metals and jewels, often the areas of light and dark do not blend together but are more segmented due to the way the designs cut certain metals and jewels. We are preparing to design our own jewelry when we have our Fashion Day on June 18!
