We believe supporting the community is important. Our students develop into global citizens by participating in and supporting community service in Chicago and beyond. As part of our efforts to give back, we hold annual fairs that raise funds for a local non-profit. We raised approximately $10,000 for Chicago Commons in the 2016-17 school year! With fun experiences for students to share with teachers, the silent auction is always a hit.
Recently, the highest bidders of “Afternoon Tea” enjoyed their prize with Ms. Blakemore at The Langham. In 1865 The Langham debuted afternoon tea service at its London location, making the hotel an ideal setting for a truly English afternoon tea. Together the ladies learned the ins and outs of British etiquette and became acquainted over lively conversation.
We are grateful for families that donate and bid on these experiences, which build school spirit while raising funds for community service.
Planning will soon be underway for the Summer Fair! Stay tuned for details…
