Community Futsal League
Welcome, community members! Our new indoor Community Futsal League for children ages 3 to 14 starts February 25. Read on for details and register to join the fun.

  • What is Futsal?

    Futsal is a modified form of soccer played with five players per side on a smaller, typically indoor, field. For an overview, watch the video below or click here.

  • League Schedule

    The league is comprised of weekly games, coached by our instructors, on Saturdays from February 25 through March 25.

    Each game is 30 minutes and will take place during the times below.

    3-4 8:30-9 a.m.
    5-6 9-9:30 a.m.
    6-7 9:30-10 a.m.
    7-9 10-10:30 a.m.
    10-11 10:30-11 a.m.
    12-14 11-11:30 a.m.


  • Location

    Games will take place in the gymnasium at British International School of Chicago, South Loop. The school is located at 161 W. 9th Street, and parking is available in the Roosevelt Collection Parking Garage.

  • Fee

    The registration fee is $50 per player.

    Payment secures your player's spot in the league. After registering, you can pay online here or submit a check to BISC at the reception desk or via mail: BISC South Loop, 161 W. 9th Street, Chicago, IL 60605.

  • Coaches

    Lucy Harper

    Lucy is Director of Athletics at British International School of Chicago, South Loop and also Director of the Community Soccer League. She holds two Coaching Awards from The Football Association, English football’s governing body, and is a qualified U.S. soccer coach.

    Before moving to Chicago, Lucy lived in England where she coached the decorated U16 Hampshire School Girls Football Club, which took the 2012 English Schools Winners title and Regional Championship trophy for three straight years. Lucy also coached the U18 Portsmouth and U13 Surrey Girls Performance Centre Football Clubs. Back in England, Lucy played for Southampton Saints Ladies Football Club, and here in Chicago plays competitive netball.

    Shaun Piper

    Shaun Piper is a P.E. Specialist at British International School of Chicago, South Loop, and a coach for the Community Soccer League. He holds a bachelor's degree in coaching and physical education and has coached a wide range of age groups at various levels of soccer.

    In the United Kingdom, Shaun played competitive soccer for Cheltenham Star Football Club and also managed the Gloucestershire Schools Stroud District U15 Team. Among his other honors, Shaun was a Northern Senior Champion in the Gloucestershire League, 2013-14 MVP for Cheltenham Star Football Club and Second Team Captain for the soccer clubs at University of St. Mark and St. John Plymouth.
