I am a pianist and composer originally from New Castle, Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA in May of 2015. While living in Pittsburgh, I had the privilege of studying with many great teachers including Sean Jones, Mike Tomaro, Ron Bickel and many others, as well as receiving tutelage from some of Pittsburgh's jazz greats, namely, Roger Humphries, Dwayne Dolphin and Tony Campbell. I was heavily involved in Pittsburgh's jazz scene from 2013-16 when I decided to move to Chicago to explore more opportunities and experience a bigger city.
I began teaching private music lessons in 2012 and have formal experience working with teaching studios such as Taylor Robinson Music and Batavia Studios. I have worked with students ranging in age from 5-40, and with experience levels ranging from beginner to having 20 years of classical experience but wanting to learn to improvise.
In addition to teaching, I am working to establish myself artistically and in June 2016 released a solo piano work entitled 'Openings' which is streaming on Pandora, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, and other major digital platforms. I am very passionate when it comes to music, and especially so when it comes to sharing my knowledge and abilities with students of all ages.
