I graduated Essex University with a bachelor's degree in marine and freshwater biology. After a number of years working in other fields, I decided to return to science and train to teach. Following my postgraduate certificate in education course, I spent four years as a Biology teacher in a grammar school located in Lincolnshire, England. Eventually I decided it was time for a fresh challenge and a fresh location.
At BISC, there is so much more freedom to conduct interesting lessons that push the boundaries for students and staff. Small class sizes and a carefully crafted curriculum allow us to advance students and truly broaden them in every sense.
I’m a fairly active person who enjoys the outdoors. I spend a lot of time traveling and exploring new cultures and landscapes. I play a lot of tennis and like to keep in shape (more so in the summer). I would describe myself as fairly imaginative and use any excuse to get the creative juices flowing, mostly through music and photography.
