I studied Sociology at Leeds Metropolitan University, during this time I spent a semester at the University of Turku as part of an Erasmus scholarship. This was an amazing opportunity and allowed me to volunteer in the well-known Finnish Education system. After graduating, my passion for Education and culture continued when I volunteered as an English Teacher in an Orphanage in Phomn Penh, Cambodia. When returning, I pursued my teaching dream and gained my Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education with English Specialism at the University of Derby. I have since taught in Primary schools in the UK with experience across Early Years to KS2. In 2018, I moved to Panama and began my international teaching journey at the Metropolitan School of Panama, also part of the Nord Anglia Education family of schools. I love watching my students flourish both socially and emotionally and academically each year, those moments are magic!
I grew up in Derby, a small city in the middle of the UK. Living close to the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District was where my love for outside adventures grew. Outside school, I enjoy listening to music and podcasts, spending time with friends and family and travelling to new places
