I attended Messiah College, in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, where I graduated with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. After graduation, I had the privilege of working at Lawrence Lower School, in Brecksville, Ohio, which is a private school for students who learn differently. Specifically, I worked with students who had dyslexia, dysgraphia, ADHD, or a Specific Learning Disability in reading fluency, reading comprehension, or written expression. My three years of working at Lawrence ignited my passion for seeing all children succeed and learn no matter the challenges they may face. I love helping students realize their potential and providing them the resources they need to thrive. I am excited to bring my experience and passion to help the students at BISC-SL.
As a child, I grew up in three different states which ignited my love for experiencing new people and places. Since then, I have had the opportunity to visit countries in Europe, Africa, South America, and many states here in the US. In addition to traveling, I love staying active. I played many sports as a child and ultimately settled on lacrosse, which I played in college. I love the energy and competitiveness you experience when playing or watching a sporting event.
I love how BISC-SL offers me the opportunity to continue learning about new places and cultures through the diversity of the student and staff population. It is also refreshing to be a part of a school environment that is student-centered and individualizes instruction to put their needs first.
