Inside the MAC Office: The Unique Community of BISC

Inside the MAC Office: The Unique Community of BISC - Inside the MAC Office The Unique Community of BISC
In the Marketing, Admissions, and Communications Office, we have the privilege of interacting with every part of our community - from parents, to students, to staff and support, prospective families, community partners, our NAE family, and more! As this calendar year comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what matters most: you.

As we reach the end of 2025,we in the Marketing, Admissions, and Communications Office have a moment – however brief!  to reflect on the previous year and how we’ve grown as a school community before the (re-)enrollment season begins.

When you get down to it, that’s exactly what we’re responsible for in the MAC Office: community growth and connection. For many of you, someone in the MAC Office may have been your first point of contact with the BISC-SL community. At some point, all our families have gone through the process of inquiry, application, and enrollment – but our work doesn’t stop when classes begin!

In the MAC Office, our team not only undertakes to build the foundation ofour incredible community with every acceptance and welcome. We also strive to strengthenits bonds by facilitating communication and showcasing our students’ successes while guiding them through important milestones. We are charged with the task of helping to creatan institution with families who feel empowered to support their students during their educational journey. We work with all stakeholders in our community, across all departments, and we collaborate with Nord Anglia Education and our family of schools around the globe to deliver the best possible student – and family!  experience.

You may have already noticed some changes and developments coming out of our MAC Office. Our student body grew significantly at the beginning of our 2025-2026 academic year, a testament to the excellence of not only our teachers and curriculum, but also to our distinction in the Chicago area and on the global stage. Families are choosing the British International School of Chicago, South Loop to educate their children and prepare them for the future – a responsibility we do not take lightly.

We have also redoubled our efforts to show you what goes on in our school each and every day, from developing this very blog series to highlight our staff’s unique expertise and insights, to celebrating students accomplishments on our social media platformson Facebook and Instagram and in our weekly newsletterto supporting our students in their goal to make an impact in their communities. We have prioritized student participation by creating a Yearbook Club and Content Creators Club so that our students are actively involved in building their community and its future.

For all of the work we do in the MAC Office to welcome and forge a way forward, our greatest asset is you. It is our students, our families, our staff, and our friends who help make our school such a unique and desirable place for children to spend their most formative years.

We hope you will join us as we welcome new families and continue to create a community invested in academic excellence and opportunity. In the new year, we will have several more opportunities to get involved, including reviving our International Day festival this coming spring on April 17 (save the date!), where we will celebrate our community’s diversity and global outlook! If you are a parent or guardian who would like to sign up to represent a country, click here.

From our office to your home, we thank you for making our community so vibrant, energetic, and engaging. We are eager to work with you more and find new ways to amplify our mission and values! Happy holidays from the MAC Team!
