Primary Art Specialist

During my first visit to the school, I immediately noticed the genuine excitement our students have for learning. They are interested and engaged, and it brings me great pride and joy to teach students who are eager to contribute to their learning experience.

After earning a bachelor's degree in Integrated Studio Arts from Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, I spent time working as an Art teacher for several organizations nationally and internationally. I have earned the titles in my previous places of employment as an Art Education Coordinator and Project Manager. I have worked abroad as a photographer and editor, and have led teams through public art initiatives. Throughout my experiences I have found that my greatest passion is to create an environment for students to express themselves and to think critically about Art and our world.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy owning and operating my own photography business here in Chicago. Meeting new people and visiting new countries through my photography has provided me with some of the greatest experiences of my life! Some of my favourite things to do in Chicago is to spend time in beautiful buildings, visit art museums, and explore the diverse neighbourhoods of the city.
